Leeds does it again...

I am once again so proud of Leeds High School. The varsity boys beat Madison Academy (72-64) to win the 3A state championship. This team made a school record - the first state basketball championship in Leeds' history. The football team won the 3A football championship in December and I am just one of many proud Leeds citizens today!

Also, as colorful as Charles Barkley can be, he was present to see the boys win. During Barkley's time at LHS, the team went to state but fell in the finals during his junior year. Barkley remains a loyal supporter to Leeds High School (like by providing scholarships to many seniors) and I am glad he was present to see these boys take state.

Congratulations boys!
