This past weekend a group from our church attended StadiumFest at Samford University. This event was hosted by Rick & Bubba and the Scott Dawson Evangelical Association. We got in stadium around 4:00 p.m. left about 8:00 p.m. We were exhausted from the heat and walking and we had two sleepy babies with us. They are not estimating that throughout the day, the attendance hit 25,000. Wow. This was their first event and I am looking forward to next year.
A couple of the day's highlights include:
- Bobby's first time on a school bus (we were shuttled from parking lots onto campus)
- Bobby's last time on a school bus (after we thought were going to die on the shuttle back to the cars - Bobby declared that two trips on a bus was enough)
- Eating at AppleBee's and having lots of laughs at our bus drivers expense
- Grabbing ice cream for dessert after a long, hot day.
